Cessna CR-2

Cessna CR-2

The Cessna CR-2 was the second version of the CR-1, judged to be too complicated to fly, and therefore requiring improvements. The CR-2, or GC-2 is a mid wing Cessna Racer built in 1930. The cockpit was open, and the gear was manually retractable. Only one CR-2 was built, and different pilots raced in different places with this aircraft. The aircraft crashed in 1933 during the Shell Speed Dash, and marked its retirement.
